State-level entities are required to file public meeting notices with the Office of the Secretary of State according to NDCC ch. 44-04. This requirement is fulfilled by posting the notice in the online North Dakota Public Meeting Notices System, which then allows the public to access the meeting notice information.

The North Dakota Office of the Attorney General provides oversight to ensure public meeting notice requirements are met. For more information, visit the Open Records & Meetings section on the Office of the Attorney General website.
