The Office of the Secretary of State compiles a biennial report detailing its services, activities, and accomplishments following each biennium.
In 2023, the office saw a change in administration for the first time in 30 years with Secretary of State Michael Howe taking over office from Secretary of State Alvin Jaeger on January 1, 2023. Secretary Howe now serves as the state’s 15th Secretary of State.
The team accomplished many important objectives in the 2021-2023 biennium including the modernization of business filings, reorganization of business services, and several legislative changes.
