Through one-on-one consultations, you will assess clients' goals, strengths, skills, and interests. You will assist in developing personalized action plans and, depending on the program, direct to eligible training, certification, educational opportunities, services, and other resources; offering advice, as well as guidance on resume writing and interview preparation, ultimately helping clients achieve success in the job market.Cultivate relationships throughout the community participating in job fairs, conducting presentations, and collaborating with boards, chambers, economic development associations, employers, refugee organizations, and other workforce programming services. Travel may be required during regular business hours throughout the week for training and to perform outreach activities to customers/clients.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in a second language is advantageous for this role, as it involves frequent interaction with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. The Regional Coordinator will promote whole community preparedness for the Northwest region of the state by assisting emergency managers, regional response teams, other first responders, and community leaders in Northwest, ND to build, sustain, and deliver core capabilities across the five mission areas of Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery. Individual must reside either within one of these areas or be in close proximity to the area. The following is a summary of the job responsibilities; this is not an all-inclusive list. We are seeking a dynamic Regional Coordinator with strong communication skills to work with Federal, State, local and tribal jurisdictions and response disciplines to optimize preparedness and outreach efforts and act as a collaborative point of contact/liaison for local public safety, service agencies and elected officials. The incumbent will act as a resource and liaison to local and tribal jurisdictions and response disciplines to foster better operable and interoperable communications, identify new and growing threats, hazards and identify gaps in response, recovery, and mitigation capabilities, maintain stakeholder relationships supportive of regional response activities and promote, conduct and attend various training events. .

Requires a bachelor's degree and three years of professional work experience in education or emergency response (law enforcement, fire, emergency management, etc.). The primary responsibility of this position (53-53-6379) is to provide Foster Care case management. This includes but is not limited to placement of children, case planning, referral to services, documentation, arranging and monitoring visitation, developing affidavits and attending court hearings. This position also provides backup for Child Protection Services. Individuals may be required to work non-traditional work hours, be available for consultation to families and accept rotation for on-call after-work hours emergencies. Career Description




Capitol Security Officers are an integral part of the North Dakota Highway Patrol team and are responsible for the safety of executive, legislative and judicial officials, state employees and visitors. Capitol Security provides the primary response to emergencies and security at events held on the Capitol grounds. This position is part time, approximately 20 hours per week. Benefits are not included with this position.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED.One year work experience showing communication skills in dealing with coworkers or the general public. Ability to bend, push, crouch, and lift up to 40 pounds.Valid Driver's License.
