Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have the following minimum qualifications at the time of the interview: Bachelor's degree Current ND Educator's Professional Licensure or ability to obtain this license upon being hired Endorsed, credentialed, or qualified to teach in English and one or more of the following secondary subject areas: Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, or Physical Education At least three years of teaching experience At least one year of experience delivering instruction in a learning management system (LMS) In addition to the minimum qualifications, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following: Proficiency in using and integrating technology in educational settings Self-directed problem solver with a student-centered approach Exhibit professionalism in communications Ability to set professional goals based on student outcomes and identify and engage in ongoing professional development and other measurable steps to reach them Willingness to serve on committees Willingness to quickly adopt to a dynamic education environment, frequently changing to improve quality and respond to stakeholder needs Willingness to coach and support other teachers in content area(s) Willingness and ability to obtain additional teaching credentials Willingness to teach in the summer

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to individuals:Experience coaching and assessing students using a competency-based framework (e.g., Marzano)Experience mentoring other teachersExperience teaching for a virtual schoolMultiple endorsements/credentials on teacher licensure; preference will be given to candidates for each area in which they possess endorsements/credentials in the areas listed under the minimum qualificationsNorth Dakota resident
